This is because the foundry industry prospered in Iwate and the iron resources were abundant, but nowadays the iron sand at that time is exhausted and cannot be mined.

Our sand iron kettle is manufactured using the raw materials of that time.

It is said that the famous sword Masamune was also made of iron sand from the Kuji region.
